It's Time for Congress to Get Serious about Executive Power

Washington, DC - In the latest from the TLC blog, we explore the implications of an ever-expanding, imperial presidency. In the face of creeping executive power, Congress has found itself unwilling and unable to take back the reins from the White House. The Lugar Center seeks to empower both the public and Congress to curb executive overreach through the creation of a comprehensive Guide that covers 45 oversight committees.

Rhode Island's Bipartisan Claim

Providence, RI - Rhode Island's GoLocalProv highlights the Lugar Center's Bipartisan Index in a recent article. Although Rhode Island senators talk about wanting more bipartisan cooperation, actions speak louder than words. The Index assisted the news team in analyzing the bipartisan record of the delegation.

Lugar Examines American Influence

New York, NY - The New York Alternative Investment Roundtable kicked off the new year with a breakfast featuring Fmr Sen Richard Lugar. Bloomberg's Alan Bjerga led a discussion on the continuing effects of the Trump administration's initial foreign policy decisions.

15 Years of  YES

Washington, DC - Fmr Sen. Lugar marks the 15th anniversary of the Lugar-Kennedy Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program. Created as a bipartisan response to 9/11, YES is funded through the Department of State. Scholarships are available for secondary school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one academic year in the United States and to U.S. citizens attending high school overseas.
