Fmr. Sen. Lugar On INF Withdrawal: "Gravely Misguided"

London, UK - Following the U.S. withdrawal from the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, Fmr. Sen. Richard Lugar joined BBC Radio 4's The World Tonight to discuss the effects of the American decision on February 1. Drawing on his decades of foreign policy and nonproliferation experience, Fmr. Sen. A Journey to Self Reliance: Aid Transition Case Studies

Washington, DC - The Lugar Center's Foreign Aid Effectiveness team has produced a series of briefs on countries that have undergone or are currently undergoing successful aid transitions. The first four of a final set of nine include Botswana, Bulgaria, Poland, and Tunisia. Thanks to American commitments, these countries stand as examples of effective aid that has created new military, economic, and health partners worldwide. READ HERE.

The Lugar Center Ranked in Top 5% of Think Tanks for Third Year

Philadelphia, PA - For the third year in a row, The Lugar Center has been ranked in the top 5% of American think tanks. The University of Pennsylvania's annual Global Go To Think Tank Index placed The Lugar Center 76th among 1,872 civil society institutions nationwide. READ HERE.

The Future of Arms Control

Washington, DC - Fmr. Sen. Richard Lugar was called upon to testify to the House Armed Services Committee's Strategic Forces Subcommittee on the future of arms control in the face of the INF Treaty withdrawal on February 26. Lugar cites his decades of experience to help plot the course for today's legislators to preserve existing arms control treaties and include China in future agreements. WATCH HERE.
